The purpose of Scripture Journaling cards is to use them in a place where they are visually seen often. In a busy and technical growing atmosphere, these cards are good reminders of your purpose, destiny and truth. The truth is God loves you, chose you and created you for a purpose. We need a constant reminder that He is for us and wants to help us! God also reminds us in Deuteronomy 6 to remember His commandments in our hearts. Talk about them with our kids, look at them visually in our homes. The key is to remember and know the word of God, and here we are encouraged to look at these promises and commandments and have them visually available to us in our homes!
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
It is a very simple technique reminiscent of multiplication tables. See and look at the equation and answer, repeat out loud over and over again till you are familiar with it. Memorization occurs, and success is the intended result.
To find my Scripture Journaling cards I have created please visit here @ Ribbonwoodplanner You can also make your own Scripture Journaling Cards by printing or hand writing out scriptures on pretty paper, 3 x 5 index cards or copy paper. Tape on a mirror or door post at eye level so that you will see them on your way in or out. After seeing them multiple times you will be more familiar with the scripture and eventually have the scripture memorized!
*If one were to memorize a scripture a day for 3 years that would be a total of over 1000 scriptures!!!!!!
