Beautiful Fall Things

Beautiful Fall Things. I have found that I love Autumn, I love autumn colored leaves in red, orange, gold and green. There is purpose for each season. Each season brings its uniqueness to us.

There is just something wonderful about the colors of fall!

I love when the weather starts to get a bit cooler, and you step outside and. you know it is fall. The leaves, the cooler weather, the feel of the season is in the air. Beautiful fall things.

I love knowing God created the trees to turn colors. Vibrant shades of red. I love the pumpkin shade of leaves. Dark orange. And I love pumpkins.

“To everything there is a season.” Ecclesiastes 3

I didn’t experience all the beautiful fall things last year or the year before because my husband and I were in a different season. The last two years we have packed boxes anticipating a move. We have been a safe harbor for our family.

I watched grandchildren while my son and his wife took our granddaughter to a children’s hospital for treatment of Leukemia. I watched the season pass, and winter come and go.

Seasons

I experience heartache and joy in the same season. We lost a grand baby with our daughter and grieved through that season. I hugged my daughter, kissed her as we both cried together. The last several months were of holding steady, anchoring in place, praying, and knowing God was with us. In the season we were in.

We didn’t turn from the one who is our source of comfort.

“We can’t always find the answers to our questions, but we can always find Jesus.”

Christine Caine

“So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul—Then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil. “ Deuteronomy 11:14

NKJV

With a new season comes new hope. God is with us in each season though. His name is “Emmanuel” which means God with us.

This year I decorated our home with autumn in mind because it makes me happy. It is a celebration. Our hearts are still healing. Each day is a gift.

Our son in law and daughter who had experienced such heartache, hoped once again.

They welcomed a beautiful son just a few weeks ago.

Baby Bobby

When I held him I experienced such joy, such healing. Restoration. A new beginning.

Our granddaughter Emma is free of disease, free of Leukemia. Starting school and being in a classroom for the first time ever!

Beautiful Fall Things – Seasons

I love that God created the seasons. “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22

Seasons. Summer is passing. Seeds that were planted have bloomed and been harvested. Pumpkins, gourds, seasonal vegetables are harvested. We enjoy the bounty that is collected.

Beautiful Fall Things – Purpose

There is purpose in every season. This season is a time of gathering what has been planted and storing for winter.

Gathering, in preparation for cooler weather. Storing up for winter. Gathering the harvest for food when planting is not possible. Gathering wood for warmth. Collecting supplies in preparation for colder weather. Gathering what will be needed inside, when it is not possible to go outside.

I have found, just like you that each season has a time frame. It does not last forever. Basically, summer and Spring are full of activity. Planting, watering, tending, blooming. All the seeds are planted.

Fall and winter are for gathering, collecting and storing. Following summer when the seeds that were planted are now being harvested. Moreover, the leaves of the trees that once were filled with buds and blossoms now start the process of turning vibrant shades and hues. The leaves begin to softly fall to the earth especially the Maple and Aspen trees. Lastly, the leaves drift down from their branches and the grounds are carpeted by the leaves.
