Recently we had a perilous situation where a gun was pulled on one of our family members. The ending was the person drove by and did not shoot directly at our family member but shot off a few bullets several yards away.

I remembered thinking I pray for safety everyday. Never take a day off from that prayer. I don’t like feeling out of control, yet in the days we live, you don’t know when you will be faced with a troubled or dangerous person that is armed.

The good news is that God has a plan for safety. It is His word, His scriptures. Written for us for specific moments, specific seasons and specific situations.

protection and safety scriptures

Often reflecting on Hebrews 4:12 which says “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit…and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” I like the part that says living and active…as opposed to dead and gone, History, words that are from the past that don’t reflect the here and now.

Spending quite a bit of time putting this scripture collection together, I focused on God as our protector. How He equips us to face difficult situations and how to be prepared.

It isn’t a book, just a short scripture collection of over 30 scriptures on protection and safety. Bible and Faith clipart to use for Bible journaling or your planner. Decorative additions to the scriptures. Also a mini devotion of God’s heart towards us and what He says regarding difficult situations and protection.  It can be found here @

My mother prayed safety over my brother and I and prayed the scriptures from Psalm 91. Safety, protection, God commanding His angels to protect His loved ones.

Jeremiah 1:12  Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.”

These are scriptures that are wonderful to know and to familiarize yourself with. They are good to reference in a difficult or dangerous situation.

Blessings,
