Easy Peasy Bible Journaling Words

Hey I hope you are having a great and wonderful week.  Recently I was cutting some words out and pasting them in my Bible and my husband wanted to know what I was doing with a glue stick! I had to laugh. I told him I was sort of Bible journaling!

He raised his eyebrows and silently said “Oh really?”.  Even though I’ve been blessed with creativity and am fairly artistic, I am prone to make mistakes. When Bible journaling for instance I will go to letter or spell a word in the margin of my Bible and run out of room! Wait what?

I decided that was for the birds.  So I’ve begun printing out the words or phrases I’d like to use and then trace them by putting the words under the Bible margin blank area and tracing the word. Or even easier is to cut and paste to the margin of my Bible. Does it create bulk? Yes actually it does. But my Bible I use for journaling is like an artistic notebook with drawing painting and glueing items inside on the margins. It is a bit of a scrapbook, Bible, journal, notebook, planner, kind of thing!

You can also use clear full sheet sticker adhesive paper by Avery or a similar generic brand. Print out, cut words out and pull paper backing off and adhere to the margin of journaling Bible or use in your planner!

I write important prayer requests and answers to prayer and date them in the margins. I also have my kids names next to specific scriptures that I pray for them. There are pretty pictures from cards or planner supplies that I’ve decided to use in my Bible. All sorts of lovely and delightful things that inspire me. Crowded and full? Yes it is.

Again I have a study Bible that is neat and organized with proper writing and notes inside.  But my journaling Bible is lived in and I love it.

This Bible is purely for my visual and soul enjoyment. Once I got started I started adding all sorts of things to my Bible that inspired me and grew my Faith. Reminding me God is with me, He is helping me (Isaiah 41:10), He fights for me (Psalm 27) and He holds me together (Deuteronomy 33:12, 27)

May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us– yes, establish the work of our hands. Psalm 90:17

A few things I’ve learned about God along the way…

He loves color and creativity – flowers, the sky, meadows, oceans, mountains, desert scenes. “And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good. Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so.  The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.  And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.”  -Genesis 1: 9-13

He loves planning! Jeremiah 29:11 I know the plans I have for you plans for good and not for evil to give you a future and a hope.

He also loves us and has us engraved on the Palm of His hands. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me. Isaiah 49:16

Blessings!
