Hey everyone! I hope you are having an outstanding week. The cold weather has forced more indoor activities here and for us that means having our family over. I love this season and enjoying our kids and our grandchildren.
The good thing is I have found that planning my days is a necessity because of all the shenanigans going on. I start each day reading my Bible, praying over our family, jotting down the necessities of the day….
One thing my husband and I laughed about the other day is that God’s timing isn’t our timing. We think certain things should happen at certain times. WE have made our plans, and the day comes….and things don’t work out quite the way we planned and it seems disastrous! But we’ve learned to believe God and His timing are the key to many things. What we don’t know. What we don’t see. What we don’t understand until down the road was God was with us – Emmanuel, God with us – the entire time.
Yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end….Ecclesiastes 3:11
Write it down – God’s word is the light in darkness. His word is key to our understanding….it isn’t all about our schedule. It is about what He is doing in us during the journey.
I am a wife, mother, grandmother and a Christ Follower 100%. Being brought up in an incredible home with parents who loved God, and a father who memorized thousands of scriptures (photographic memory!) I was taught at an early age to know and love the Bible. Growing up I learned at a young age how to hear God's voice, memorize scriptures, mark my Bible (now Bible journaling) and to have a strong walk with Jesus Christ.
I have a passion to see women empowered and strengthened, with an unshakeable faith and walk with Jesus Christ. Creating a simple system (Good Words + Good Plans + Good days) to use in a Bible journal, planner or notebook, I believe we start our days first Seeking First our Savior. While making the necessary daily plans write a scripture promise, good word, motivational words at the top of your to do list. Proverbs 4:20-22 says the Word of God will lead, guide and help you. I think that it is imperative to keep that before our eyes rather than letting our To Do list dictate to us what our lives will be that day. Fulfilling God's destiny and raising incredible kids about sums up my hopes and dreams for this life!
Teaching and knowing the Word of God is something I love and live to do. I too now see the power of the Word of God bring healing, restoration and completeness to peoples lives. He and my mother instilled a strong faith and desire in me to know the word of God and use it as an anchor for my every day life. It is very exciting to now teach those same principles in the next generations of our family!
